new orleans art
New Orleans illustration was created as part of a university project that challenged us to recreate the perspective of a renowned architectural landmark. I never had to wonder which building I would choose. New Orleans has fascinated me for as long as I can remember.
A city that has lived in my imagination through movies, art-filled streets, stories of witches and the timeless legends of vampires hidden behind its historic façades. Whenever I think of it, I can almost feel the charged air, the warmth rising and the quiet rhythm of distant jazz drifting through the streets.

That feeling became the starting point of the entire project. I began by carefully studying and deconstructing the building's ornamental details before reconstructing its façade through illustration. Rather than simply capturing its architecture, I wanted to preserve the atmosphere it evokes.
To me, this piece feels like a warm summer night: windows glowing with golden light, the scent of rain-soaked flowers and lush gardens, and reflections that blur into dancing fireflies beneath the moon.
It is an illustration inspired not only by a place, but by the emotions, stories and quiet magic that make New Orleans unforgettable.
